Eddy Paul Reggae: Mouse in the House

Mouse in the House is the title of Eddy Paul's latest Reggae album and roots reggae of its best kind. All songs penned by the artist himself. The songs can be regarded as declaration of love for the Caribbean where Eddy Paul was born and raised.

At once the rhythm makes you swing – yes, this is how we imagine the Caribbean! But if you listen a little closer to the lyrics of the song "Mouse in the House" out of the CD with the same title they make you aware that not everything which glitters is gold. Eddy Paul wants to remind you how full of starvation a life can be and at the same time he wants you to watch out and take a closer look at the peopIe around. Don't allow parasites to have the upper hand on you!

A problem in his own land has deeply shocked Eddy Paul. It's the contamination of soil with pesticides as a result of fraud to the farmers of his beautiful homeland. “Sabotage” can in consequence be judged as a political song. The lyrics are not written in English but in Créole which is understood by everybody in the region.

For many years Eddy Paul has been writing songs of different genres. With Mouse in the House Eddy Paul has created Reggae music that takes you along on a journey to the Caribbean where the sun (almost) always shines.
